New Neighbors, Meet North Gilham

The North Gilham neighborhood is generally considered a large rectangle between Delta Highway and Interstate 5, and north of Beltline to the city limits. The neighborhood consists of mostly single-family residences, schools, parks, and some businesses. As one of the faster-growing areas in town, the neighborhood has added hundreds of single-family homes, multi-family homes, townhomes, and apartments in the past five years. This rapid growth has given homeowners an over 21% increase in home values.

What Makes North Gilham a Great Place to Live

While the North Gilham neighborhood is outside the city center, the quieter streets are great for walking, running, and spending time at the many in-neighborhood parks. Residents have quick access to Beltline and Interstate 5. North Gilham also sits around Coburg road, making it just a short drive from the historic town of Coburg where you find antique shops, great restaurants, and farm fresh food and plants.

Family Friendly

1. The Nines Community Park – Siltez Drive

Made of mostly wood materials this park is awesome! It has three slides, lots to climb and best of all it’s all fenced in so kids playing tag can’t run off too far.

2. South Pine Bakery – 2866 Crescent Ave. Suite 101

Best. Coffee. Cake. Ever. South Pine bakery is locally owned and they serve freshly baked treats and Tailored coffee. This is one of our favorite weekend stops.

3. Crescent Skate Park – corner of Crescent and Gilham

the Crescent State Park is great for Parents looking to tire their kids out. It fills up when the weather is nice but so far everyone has been patient and pleasant with our less talented skaters. Pack a picnic and hang out on the playground nearby.

For the Grown Ups

1. B2 Bar and Grill – 2794 Shadowview

Good food, good drinks, and a cozy atmosphere are all at B2. Whether you’re meeting up with friends or an after-work business get-together, this restaurant will be the perfect fit. Try the roasted brussels sprouts, they’re our favorite!

2. Pho The Good Times – 2729 Shadowview

One of our favorite spots, this Vietnamese restaurant serves a wide range of delicious foods. Their hot soup is perfect for these cold days.

3. Costco – 2828 Chad Drive

From bulk foods to home goods, Costco has great deals for both single households and families. Membership is required but that gives members access to discount prices on goods, gas, tires, and vision services.
