Ferry St Bridge

The Ferry Street Bridge neighborhood falls between Beltline and the Willamette River. The neighborhood derives its name from Eugene Skinner, founder of Eugene, and the ferry he once operated on the river near the current bridge.

The Ferry Street Bridge neighborhood stretches across homes, businesses, schools, parks, natural habitats, golf courses and more. While there may be heavy traffic at times, this area is a bustling part of our city. With two elementary, one middle and a large high school the neighborhood starts its day with school buses and families. Retail and commercial businesses open soon after, bringing people from all over town and by evening restaurants and bars are lively, with some places offering music or nightly events.
 
What Makes Ferry Street Bridge a Great Place to Live
 
This neighborhood has many quaint and quiet neighborhoods, with wide streets for bike riders and parks for kids. Valley River Center and Oakway Center offer plenty of retail shopping options, and with dozens of restaurants you’re bound to find something you’re in the mood for. Other neighborhood highlights include quick access to Beltline Highway and the interstate, walkable and bike friendly streets, and easy access to public transportation.

1. Delta Ponds – 640 Goodpasture Island Road

 
Delta Ponds is a 150 acre natural park that consists of ponds, wetlands and wildlife. It’s the perfect spot for bird watchers and kids that like to explore. The park has clear walking paths and informational signs along the way. If you go in the morning the animals are more active.
 

2. Round One Bowling and Amusement – 600 Valley River Center

#101 Round One has something for everyone! Bowling, arcade, table games, snacks and more are all found here. Take the family, take a friend, honestly take yourself! You’ll have a good time, guaranteed.
 

3. Chapala Mexican Restaurant – 136 Oakway Center

 
This is one of our favorite restaurants in town. Fast, amazing service and delicious food. We always order the fajitas. They come out sizzling!
 

4. Soko Coffee – 1385 Oakway Road

 
This locally owned and operated, beautiful coffee house, creates spectacular lattes and more. Stop by for a drink, or stay and visit in their newly renovated space.
 

5. Emerald Lanes – 140 Oakway Road

 
Tucked behind retail stores off Oakway Road, Emerald Lanes is a must! 24 lanes, multiple game options and snacks, how can you go wrong.
 

6. The Side Bar – 1680 Coburg Road

#108 The Side Bar is known for having lots of tvs, making it the perfect spot for watching the big game, whatever game that may be. They offer trivia on Wednesdays and drink specials most nights of the week.
